Going Safely
It is important to be alert and concentrating when combining bikes, transit and trails. Think safety first and it will be a great day for everyone
Getting your bike on and off the subway or the GO Train, or storing it beneath a highway coach or out front on a bus bike rack - takes some getting used to - So be careful. But once you've done it once or twice, it's a breeze!
Attention: VIA Rail trains pass through Lakeshore GO Train stations at extremely high speeds. Stay alert and walk your bike near the centre of the platform.
On the bike trail it is always important to stay on the right side except to pass, and give walkers the right of way - pass them as you would like a car to pass you. Too many accidents on our bikeways are the fault of cyclist moving at excessive speeds, and not paying attention and slowing for what lies ahead. So please, cycle safely.
