Whitby to Ajax - take the train, ride the shores and creeks of Durham
Take your bike on the GO Train to cycle a great stretch of the Durham waterfront. Start your ride from the Whitby GO train station and end at the station in Ajax.
Over 95% of the ride is along the Waterfront Trail and the Trans Canada Trail. On the way see Whitby's historic harbour and Lynde Shores Conservation Area. Marvel at Ajax's bluff waterfront and spectacular Duffins Creek.
Recommended for: all casual riders - Brock Ave. in Whitby can be busy. Be careful at Bayly St. in Whitby and Ajax.

Sample fares to Whitby (from Union Station): $7.30 adult one way, $3.65 for children + seniors. Take the subway to the GO train for $2.75 - transfer between Main Street subway station and the GO Danforth train station.
- Caution: Traffic on Brock Ave. S. in Whitby can be busy at times.
- Children should ride on the west sidewalk heading south from the Whitby GO Station.
- Bayly St. in Whitby and Ajax are very high speed roads. Be very careful. Use the south shoulder in Whitby and the crosswalk in Ajax.
