This bikes and transit sample route highlights the great easy bike riding to be discovered between the Burlington and Appleby GO train stations, and beyond!
From 'Burlington' station: cycle the bike lane south down Brant Street to Old Burlington and the Waterfront Trail. Follow the Trail southwest to The Beachway. Continue south along the shoreline, all the way to Hamilton's Beach Strip and Confederation Park.
On the way home: return to Burlington station, or ride the Centennial Trail from Martha St. in Old Burlington northeast to 'Appleby' GO train station. The entrance to Burlington's Centennial Trail on Martha Street. The trail is between Pine and James St. Look just south on Appleby Line for the Centennial Trail exit/entrance.

From Aldershot GO Station:
A great daytrip is the bike ride from Burlington's Aldershot GO train station, west to the Royal Botanical Gardens, then the Trans Canada Trail south to Hamilton Harbour.
Another site to see: combine bikes and transit to visit Hamilton's Dundurn Castle!
Recommended for: adults and young adults with urban road riding experience. Safe painted bikelanes are on high speed traffic roads.

Directions:
- Exit the train station to the southeast, cross the parking lot to Masonry Cr west to Waterdown Rd south
- Head to Plains Rd W (bike lane) and turn right/west
- Alternately, continue south to join the Trans Canada Trail west at North Shore Blvd
- Plains Rd will lead you to the Trans Canada Trail south on York Blvd
- Alternately, take the old Spring Gardens Rd route to Valley Inn Rd to York Blvd
